Re: V1.40 Stable

in attachments you can see the difference with old files i downloaded one or two months ago, and withe the new 1.40 I downloaded. Out of curiosity, I tried downloading 1.30 again and I also don't get the .hex file extension nor the text files anymore.

Re: Wish for VPM algoritme

Hi Steve and corona(luv that beer with a twist of lemon/citron);)

Corona : the question is not why does one want to use VPM, but when does one want to use VPM(B).
When would someone use VPM algorithm instead of GF? Well as you can see , with longer bottom times on great depths( deeper than 40m ...

Re: Wish for VPM algoritme

corona citron : check it out, even with GF 30-75 you won't get as soon out of the water as with VPMB. No matter what settins you use, or you'll get a skull on your OSTC ;)
Check out the OTU's and CNS also....

Re: Wish for VPM algoritme

corona citron :

What you tell is correct and incorrect:

try a dive with trimix 20/25 and deco gas EAN70 to a depth of let's say 60m and bottom time greater than 60 minutes, and run the simuation with a program that runs on Gradient Factors let's say 30/90(which is allready rather agressive), you ...

Re: failure after surfacing after a real dive

Hello Steve

Strange indeed, as I had this in Egypt too.
Could it have anything to do with the high air-temperatures or maybe something with the pressure at sea level in Egypt(maybe it's higher because of the higher temperatures??)or maybe with the high salinity factor of the water in the Red Sea ...

Re: failure after surfacing after a real dive

Hi OSTC fan,

I don't know if it's soldered or cooked/heated up.
I'm a technician, but I don't like opening/tampering divecomputers myself, I leave that to the pro's.

I think that's a question that you'd better ask to heinrichs/weikamp.
after all they are the manufacturers that built it.

As for ...

failure after surfacing after a real dive

:( Hi all at Heinrichs Weikamp,
Just back from a diving holiday in Sharm el Sheikh/Egypt(before I went on holidays havent't been in the water again with my ostc, but did a couple of testdives via my laptop and seemed to be ok, and kept my ostc in handluggage at all time during the flight).
Done a ...

Re: saturation and no fly time gone after a look in the logbook

Hello, problem seems to be solved by deleting all the dives, and installing V 1.30 and resetting to default(CF values back to default values).
Done a few test- dives with J-divelog and seems to be fine now.
After I've done that I've changed some CF values again to see if I could generate a bad dive ...

Re: saturation and no fly time gone after a look in the logbook

Hello, deleted the dives, installed firmware 1.30, and made a computer dive(simulation) to 55m on air and followed the decostops.
Went to logbook on the OSTC, the problem still consists...
Opened JDivelog, no problem to get the Dive from my OSTC...
Tried again with installing firmware 1.22, same ...

saturation and no fly time gone after a look in the logbook

Second time I've got this with the previous version of 1.30(just seen there is a new one):
after a OC dive on air I want to take a look in the logbook, so far so good.
But after I enter the dive I want to have a look at(to see the graphic of the dive etc...), the dive profile opens up and starts ...

To Simon:

Thanx for the info, but I'm not looking for the maximum(wanna stay alive and have some more dives...lol), just something that + - reflects the tables and my old computer, because my buddy dives with a SUUNTO VYTEC , so it is great to know if our NDL are aprox. the same....

Thanx sailor,

with settings 30/90 i do get some more(11 min), so that's about the same as my tables and my old mosquito.

no deco limits ostc versus tables

;) hi I've tried a simulation to a dive 33m on air(with the new stable 1.28 VERSION) and got a no deco time of 7 minutes, when I take a look into my good old IANTD air tables I get 12 minutes, and with my old SUUNTO mosquito I get about 12 minutes too. Can I enlarge my no deco time on my OSTC to ...

Re: HELP computer in surface-error after a simulated dive

Hello Matthias,

Again thanx for the quick response.
As suggested ,I've tried resetting the surface pressure( on my ostc for the moment 315mbar normally between 1000 en 1100mbar) and temp.(my ostc 66,3?C , my home temperature is 20?C), by installing the 1.26beta but that didn't change anything ...

I'll try it again this evening the only thing I haven't done yet is install the 1.26 beta version(I've allready tried the "reset with the interface" and the "reset all" function in the OSTC itself but that didn't change anything)
If all the above won't help can I ship the computer ...
