OSTC 2N V 2.7 updated with a problem

Post by buk@nero »

Hi all,

it´s the second time I have updated my OSTC, and I´m having a problem, to wich I haven´t found a solution on the forum I hope you can help me solving it!!

To star up I have to say that there is a small failure (bug) when using the Spanish language option, when entering CCR Setup menu, the next screen apairs totaly blanck with the exception of the exit option, in any case if entered the first possition, I can still edit the DIL gases, and on the second possition I can edit the setpoints; it´s just that the menu does not have any titles on them.... just for you to know.

Apart from this issue, I will try to explain my problem...

Where there used to be the selected gas (trimix in this case), on the right botton part some funny leters appear, and keep changing in the same sequence... I have no idea of wich gas is selected and running as CCR active gas. All this while on surface mode, havent had the change to get it on the water...

Since this problem has appeared with the spanish language option, I have reinstalled the English version, and the same thing has happend. :-(

Any ideas on how to solve it?

Thanx in advance :)-D

Hello,

These are missing Spanish translations. It's absolutely fine in the English (and other language) versions:

Are you a Spanish native speaker? Maybe you can translate the English parts in the attached language file and I'll upload the Spanish firmware again. Check against the English file if something is missing or wrong. Translate only the text in the " ", not the (English) comments.

Matthias

That translation is straight forward and any Spanish native will perfectly understand as:

Diluent Setup -> "Configurar Diluyente" (or "Config Diluyente" )
Setpoint Setup -> "Configurar Setpoint" (or "Config Setpoint" )

Hope this helps....

In regards to my update problem, It has being solved!!! Thanx. As allways I get the right solutions in this forum preaty quickly.

A question regarding CF 54: I need to always know my next deco stop, and be able to see it on the screen. My selection is in OFF (default value), is this correct?

Here you go:

CF54=OFF is fine.

Tested and everything works fine. A further suggestion if I may.... The previos menu option reads "Menú SetPoint CCR", while is not just the setpoint menu... I would modiffy this to "Menú CCR", and afterwards you will find the actual 2 options: "Config Diluyente" and "Config Setpoint".

As commented, impressive response time from you, which is an impresive customer service to a very fine product!!

Hi all,

I find the "CCR Setup" a bit hidden inside the "More" menu.

May I suggest to move the "CCR Setup" menu one level up? i.e. swap
"CCR Setup" and "Reset Menu" to have

Menu:
=> Logbook
=> Gas Setup (or OC Setup?)
=> CCR Setup
=> Setup
=> More:
====> Reset Menu
====> Set Time
====> Battery Info
====> Simulator
====> Altimeter

This way, we would have all Dive Setup at the first level (OC and CC gas configuration and General Setup (Decotype and Custom functions) at the same level…

Best wishes,
