No Bluetooth connection working on OSTC2

Post by Mark Rowe »

Hi Everyone.

In Receipt of my OSTC2 Which is running HWOS 1.88. I can not get it connect to my windows 7 Laptop of my new Windows 10 Laptop via Bluetooth. All paired ok and if I switch off and then back on the Bluetooth on the laptop it says connected (on the Bluetooth settings) but for about 3 seconds and then returns to Paired.

It will not work with companion 1.2 or with DIVE Log 6.0

Pic is of the Bluetooth screen - COM 4 - Com 5 with is the one I should be selecting?
Under Companion 1.2 setting I can select COM4 or Com4(Bluetooth) - Iselect com4(Bluetooth) but it always reverts to just Com4.

New Laptop is ASUS UX501 - Very nice, with updated drivers.

Any Ideas.
Thanks Mark

Hi

See here :

and
read.php?6,15557

you'll find some answers ; as a focus, don't use COM4, make last updates for Win10 and reinstall after Companion.

Use COM4. Make sure to enable the bluetooth in the OSTC manually before trying to download or update the firmware.

As long as windows update KB3093266 is installed it should work fine with Windows 10 64bit. Post any error messages from the companion here.
