v1.86 beta simulator deco profile comparisons

Hi,

I've run the simulator for a CCR deco plan of 99m for bottom times of 15 mins up to 39 mins and compared with the outputs of APD Projection and V-Planner

Please see results in file attached.

I have setpoint 1.3, GFs 15/85 or +2 conservatism for VPM and diluent 10/70

I think its obvious that there is a serious problem with the Simulator deco planner for OSTC

I do my diving in this range so am very interested to see it recognised as a problem to be fixed.

Is this a problem only with the Simulator? Will I also get these TTS readings on actual dives?

Hi Stephen,

Maybe indeed an issue with the run-time simulator (Which uses a different routine then in normal divemode). If you dive this dive with the real-time simulator in divemode you'll get:

Thanks very much for the response. It gives me a lot of confidence in the device and now that I know the dive mode routine is different than the run time simulator I'll be patient awaiting a fix

The figures produced by the dive mode real time simulator look just fine.

I'd be willing to pay for that piece of software as a planner (especially if it was an Android app)

I'm not sure what software application you are using to generate that graph?

Is it a visualisation of the OSTC Mk2 Simulator/deco planner?

I'm using the device directly to generate the TTS times for 99m for 15-39min bottom times

One thing I forgot to mention is that my last stop is configured to 6m. We don't do last stop 3m in the north Atlantic

Don't get too focussed on the 39min profile. According to the MK2 the TTS for 99m for bottom times 25->37mins is 219minutes and if you stay till 39mins it jumps to 370mins

Likewise if you do a nice 23mins bottom time you get 132mins TTS but if you stay 2 minutes longer then you get a shock

Of course this is all on the Simulator/deco planner and not in the water as Matthias explained.

Same settings, except I most probably set ambiant pressure to 900mbar, and corrected the bug reported by Stephen inbetween.

maybe it falls in the same corner as Stephens bug:

O2 at position one in the gaslist is not part of the Diveplan and the Decoplan during simulation.

no differents, by experience the stop at 6m is like without O2.


Simulator:

after switching to O2 on 6m the decotime switched from 39min to 23min, moreless the time I expect for this dive with O2.

Ich habe jetzt in einer Woche 10 Tg´s gemacht . Leider habe ich jetzt gemerkt das eder MK2 nur noch die 4 letzten Tg´s hat.

Ist das Problem bekannt ??? Gibt es das bei der 1.86 noch ?

Hubertus, this something off topic in here, you should have started a new thread or use the 1.83 one. If you only see the last dives this my have something to do with your dive profile and sampling rate (CF21 ff. if I remember correctly). Please check them and post the settings in here if you are unsure.

BTW: I also realized that I have only 10 dives in my log book listed which has been much more in the past. Could others please check if there is also a change in their logs to make sure there is no issue in this topic?
