hwOS TECH: New Firmware 3.29

Post by heinrichsweikamp »

Hello,

ENGLISH:

The new hwOS tech (for OSTC3, OSTC plus, OSTC+, cR, OSTC 2 and OSTC sport (mod. 19)) firmware 3.29 is now available for download:
https://heinrichsweikamp.com/service/firmwares

Using OSTC+ or OSTC cR with external O2-Monitoring? Make sure to install the firmware with "_cr_" in the file name to keep the O2-Monitoring option available!

It seems the delay on the first dive after update is not fixed, i had that problem after updating to 3.29.

That was fixed on the second dive, but at the end of both dives the OSTC 2 remained in dive mode at 0.0m for about 10 minutes and was still happily counting the time. After that period it just switched to surface mode, ignoring my usual 15min delay timer. Funnily enough subsurface shows the correct dive times after exporting them, but in the OSTC logbook they are still 10mins too long.

I went back to 3.27 now and that works fine.

Sadly i can't provide any more data for now since i only have access to a phone until november.

Maybe you can lookup the "Hardware" and "Sensor" Information from the information menu?

Hi Matthias

I have updated the firmware from 3.27 to 3.29 on my OSTCplus as well as on my OSTC2 today. At the first descent both computers stayed still in the surface mode (depth approximately 10 m). My buddy gave my his backup computer (canadian one) an we started the second descent. This time both OSTC switched to dive mode at a depth of 7.16 m and with a delay of 31" according to Shearwater.

Now I went back to 3.27.

Additional Information:

Michi, did the ostc not switch to dive mode at all in less than 10m?

I had a feeling that it might have been the 10m mark for me when it activated and not some time limit. I could see the pressure hPa going up and up in surface mode and then it suddenly went to diving mode at 10m.

Hi Duglum

At the first descent the OSTC did not switch to dive mode. We reached a depth of approximately 10 m. Unfortunately I did not look at the pressure gauge on the screen at this time. From this descent no data are stored in the logbook.

At the second descent the OSTC switched at 7.16 m (OSTCplus) respectively 7.83 m (OSTC2) to dive mode (first stored value for depth ). Please find enclosed the graph of the dive.

The behaviour of both OSTC (plus and 2) was quite similar.

Best regards
Michi
