1.26 questions

After a brief look at 1.26 it looks promising.

Questions regarding:

NEW: Added Menu entry "Calibrate x %O2" in "O2 Sensor Menu"

NEW: Added CF37: HUD style (OSTC, DS1, RGB, Smithers) (OEM O2 sensor electronic)

1. Yes I find the Calibrate x %O2, where do I set what PO2 to calibrate to?

Re: Pictures of OSTC and PO2 card diving

Yes it is (1ATA), and the cable is solid. Im thinking about filling the box with oil when I do the final version). I'm not very fond of exposing another opening into the Inspo (there are far too many already).

I have had thoughts about mounting the electronics inside the Inspo loop, but I don't ...

Have not had time to try it in the OSTC yet, but setting GF low to 20 should have Your deco start at around 48m (1 bar less than what GF LO=10 would do). Changing the High level to 80 instead lands you at 92min ...

Re: Pictures of OSTC and PO2 card diving

The PO2 card is in a separate water tight box (in which I mounted the HUD LEDs now for testing). The test rig is the one seen in the pictures, stashed under the OSTC.

The same setup could be used with three separate sensors as there is room for more sensors in the Beanie adapter (see link above ...

Pictures of OSTC and PO2 card diving

I attached some pictures from a testdive with the OSTC this weekend. The OSTC is connected to an Inspiration classic.

Dive data:

Water temp 1.3C
Max depth 40m
Dive time around 35 minutes
OSTC software version 1.23

PO2 electronics installed in a box together with the six HUD LEDs (which I should ...

Wish3: Logging of PO2 and gas selection

It would be nice to log the PO2 constantly (together with depth) so we can download that to our logging software afterwards. For RB divers this is most convinient to follow up how the RB behaves during different conditions or work load. This way, if someone gets injured, the investigation can find ...

Wish2: Mirrored display?

If we're not able to produce a new housing for the OSTC (as suggested in former posts like the OSTC oil filling), I would be interested in getting the display "mirrored". Mirrored in this case would mean upside down. Why, You'll ask... Because of two things:

- It's easier using the buttons with the ...

Wish1: Planningmode

Most of You who do decodiving do a backup plan to keep in You mind or head during a dive. For now this is produced JDeco, Vplanner, Dplanner or so. In the VR3 for example You can plan Your next dive in the divecomputer. The way they do that in the VR3 is to fool the computer to "dive" to the desired ...

If You read the "OSTC oil filling" thread You'll find this (redesign) to already be suggested. (Have a look at the Shearwater casing for example)

When we dived with the device there was no problems with the readability of the display (dived in the Baltic sea). The readability of the X1 is a little ...

Re: OSTC Oil Filling

The X1 casing is aluminium and the "window" is tempered glass which makes the inside not really subjected to the outside pressure. The inside is also filled with gel. There are no pushbuttons.

The OSTC has big plastic surfaces (especially the window) which will affected from the outside pressure ...

Heinrich, yes, that could be a way forward (same computer with a little stronger motherboard). Have You had thoughts about replacing the processor with a 32bit?

About the VR3 VPM: This is a very modified VPM B/E with about +4 in safety factor, so it vannot be directly compared.

How deep have You (Heinrich) tested the casing, can we bring it to 150m? I have'nt had a deeper look at the buttons, but they are magnets?

Interested in the VPM B B/E algorithm?

I'm interested in trying to squeeze the VPM-B / B/E algorithm into the OSTC. I say sqeeze, because the VPM algrithm seems to be a lot more processor and floating point intensive.

How many are interested in this, and what skills do You have that could help producing an open source VPM alternative ...
