Re: Verbindungsprobleme OSTC 2 / Mac OSX

Plugging the OSTC to the back of my iMac (and not the USB port on the keyboard) made a difference.

First try it did recognize the OSTC but failed to download the dives Error -7. Second try onwards it crashed the iMAC every time... :(

Re: Battery icon flashing

Thanks Jb. There are still 2 things I don't understand : 1) my ostc sat in his box for 2.5 months while off so why is it blinking ? And yes I always make sure it's "off" before closing its box 2) to test, I've changed the CF74 to zero but it's still blinking. And finaly, I just did a dive ...

Battery icon flashing

Hello guys, I just turned on my OSTC 2N after 3 months to check the battery before going diving tomorrow. And I noticed that the battery icon on my bottom left corner is flashing even though the "filling" indicates that it should be about 85% full. So I decided to connect it to my computer...

Re: What about lost gas?

If I'm not mistaken, if you you don't change to your optimal gas at the appropriate depth as set on the gas list, the deco is recalculated as if you've lost that gas.

I think the calculation starts after about 1 minute (confirmation is needed here)

Re: Inactive Gas

Merci Bardass

Comme c'est inscrit actif mais que la couleur est inactif, est-ce qu'il est actif ou pas ?

Thanks Bardass

Since the active gas is ticked but the gas is in the inactive color, is the gas active or not ?

Inactive Gas

Hello peeps, I have a question about the active/inactive gases. When configuring my gases, sometimes they turn to the inactive color but if I go to the specific gas "More" menu it still states that the gas is active. It usually happens when I change the first gas. My last first gas goes in...

Re: OSTC 2N : serial port

I've read that paragraph too but it's not true. I still needed to install the drivers.

It seems that some devices still require the drivers and others don't. A mistery to me.

Gas changes in profile

When accessing my logbook on my OSTC, it wouldn't show any gas changes. I use firware v2.90 and I was on my rebreather. We were doing some bail out ascent as part of the course but the gas changes wouldn't show on the profile. If I look at the second "page" of the dive where you can see th...

Re: OSTC 2N : serial port

I've solved my problem. Posting my solution so other can benefit from it. I thought my iMac was a 64bit architecture (I still think it is...) but the 64bit drivers wouldn't work. I tried it on my wife's computer and still no joy. So I've decided to install the 32bit drivers and... it worked. Go figu...

As dumb as it sounds, I didn't think about that solution. I'll try on my wife's iMac.

I'm sure it's a driver issue. But I can't seem to be able to install them.

I thought maybe some people encountered the same issue and could help me.

Thanks anyway guys.

Re: OSTC 2N : serial port

Firmware 2.90 and no corrosion on the contacts.

I was able to upgrade to 2.90 with OSTC Planner without problems and and I can charge the battery too.

I downloaded my dives the day prior to my trip to St Cyr and when I came back I wasn't able to do it. In the meantime no one used my computer....

Thanks Tinoo,

I'm at a loss so any help would be appreciated.

BTW. I tried changing cables and I tried every USB port I have

OSTC 2N : serial port

All of a sudden my iMac decided I don't have a valid serial port anymore. Meaning I can't download my dives and I can't use OSTC planner.

I've downloaded and installed the FTDIUSB serial and installed it. It still won't work.

I'm running OSX 10.8.5.

Any ideas guys ?

Thanks Matthias,

wouldn't it make more sense to have all BO show under BO ?

Just an idea, nothing major though.
